SILVERTON, June 7 - Funeral services for Martin W. (Mart) Norris, 64, resident of Briscoe County for 63 years, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church here, with the Rev. G.A. Elrod, pastor, and Earl Cantwell, Church of Christ minister, officiating.

Burial in Silverton Cemetery will be under direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Mr. Norris, a native of Ellis County, died at his home at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday. Before retirement last year, he was employed by the Briscoe County Highway Department. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by the wife; four sons, Edwin Norris of San Diego, Calif., Elvin Norris of Berkeley, Calif., Leland Norris of Monshans, and Butch Norris of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Jack Davis and Mrs. Charles Parker, both of Silverton, Mrs. Lou Engle Keeney of Plainview and Miss Ruby Norris of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Idella Hyatt and Mrs. Eric Malone, both of Tulia, and 10 grandchildren.
