Rensselaer, December 26 – Mrs Lillie Anshutz, 84, died Christmas morning at the home of a grandson, Walter Smith here. Mrs Anshutz was born in Pennsylvania [sic], October 18, 1853, and married John F Anshutz, July 20, 1886, in Alabama. He died in 1909. She lived in Kentland for some time, coming here 19 years ago. Surviving is a step-son Amos, of Louisville, Ky. Services will be conducted from the Werland funeral home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, the Rev C W Postill officiating. Burial will be in Weston Cemetery.
