Giselle Milot Albert, 86, of Chapel Hill, NC passed away at Duke University Medical Center after a long illness on Saturday October 26, 2013.

"Hazel" was born at home on February 24, 1927, in Watertown, CT. She was one of five children born to Philip Milot and Rose Alma Desruisseux, French-Canadian immigrants. She was married to Marvin Gibbons Albert on August 11, 1950. They lived in 10 states, and along the way she made many life long friends and her family grew to 6 children. She enjoyed flower gardening, oil painting, and sports, especially her Yankees and Tarheels. She enjoyed playing cards, entrapping many unsuspecting participants into all night card games. She was a longtime resident of Chapel Hill and dedicated parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church since 1974. She participated in many ministries serving the Lord, especially as an Eucharistic Minister, which was dearest to her heart.

She is survived by her children: Marvin Gibbons Albert II (Debbie) of Port Orange, FL; Gaylene Cuthrell (John) of Lee, FL; Deborah Morris Purcell of Pittsboro, NC; Glenn Albert of Wesley Chapel, FL; David Albert (Laura) of Virginia Beach, VA; and Marvelyn Gelbert (Charlie) of Durham; grandchildren: Amanda Albert, Andrea Gassett, Caroline & Ryan Morris, and Jefferson Albert, as well as five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mabel Lyons (William) of Dowling Park, FL. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Marvin, and her siblings, Roland Milot, Roger Milot, and Claire Milot.
