Eddie graduated from Cresson High School, Class of l939 and attended Grove City College until 1941. During WW II she worked in Washington, D.C. for the War Department. Later she worked at the library on Behrend Campus of Penn State University. She resided on Station Road in Harborcreek Twp., Erie County for 34 years. After retiring from Penn State University she and Chuck moved to Stuart, Florida. In 2001 they moved back north to Doylestown. Eddie was an avid golfer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Marion Babcock who died in 2004 (married Nov 24, 1945) and daughter, Susan B. White, in 2004.
Surviving are her daughters: Marcia B. Spence, her husband, J. Kurt, of Doylestown; Carolyn B. Skylstad, her husband, Peter, of McHenry, Md. and a son-in-law, Robert L. White of Chicago; grandchildren; and a great grandson.
Interment will be private in Lakeside Cemetery, Erie, Pa.
