Mrs . Jessie Heiter Dies Wednesday In Hampshire

Mrs . Jessie ( Lulu Jane ) Heiter , 81 , of Leaf River , formerly of Burlington and Hampshire area died Wednesday in the Lydia Nursing Home at Hampshire , where she had been a patient for nine months . Born in Leaf River , August 1 , 1882 , she was the daughter of Richard and Amanda Kircher Kuntzelman . She was married in 1904 to Jesse Heiter . Following her husbands death in 1941 , she was employed at Elgin State Hospital for 10 years as a certified cook , retiring in 1952 to make her home in Leaf River . Surviving are two daughters , Mrs . Theodore Evelyn Irving Hampshire and Mrs . William ( Winona ) Hackbarth of Aurora , Colorado ; a brother , Paul Kuntzelman of Belvidere and five grandchildren . She was preceded in death by a daughter , Dorothy , four sisters and three brothers . She was a member of White Cross Camp 117 , Royal Neighbors of America . Services were conducted Friday at 2 p . m . in the Fredrick Funeral Home with the Rev . Fredric Lippert officiating . Burial was in the Hampshire Center Cemetery .
