Hammond, Albert T. Jr. age 84 of Louisville died Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at the family home. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church Maryville. Mr. Hammond was a Drum Major at the University of Tennessee Knoxville from 1937 until 1939. He retired from Sears. After retirement he was a local artist of Limited Edition Artwork of Cades Cove. Preceded in death by: Parents, Albert Sr. & Thursie Hammond; Sister, Alma Hammond. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Martha Cavaleri Hammond; Son and Daughter in law, Stuart & Marilyn Hammond of Rockford; Son, Bob Hammond of Townsend; Daughters and Sons in law, Emily & Jim Watson of Durango, CO and Susan & Tom Church of Belvidere, TN; Grandchildren, Russell & Kelie Hammond, Tabatha Hammond, Nathaniel & Crystal Watson and Chris Watson; Three Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Evelyn Bounds of Knoxville and Thelma Yancura of Baltimore, MD. Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 4, 2002 at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: Blount County Rescue Squad, 300 E. Lincoln Rd., Alcoa, TN 37701.
