Gordon Gibson, 73, of Thompson Township, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

He was born April 25, 1940, in Hacker Valley, W.Va., to Edith C. (Life) and Lawrence G. Gibson. He married Loretta (Arathuzik) in Madison on Aug. 1, 1964.

Gordon worked at WS Tyler Wire & Screening for 18 years, and he kept himself busy doing various activities. He loved anything outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling.

He also enjoyed wood crafting and made birdhouses for everybody in the family. When Gordon wasn't busy woodworking or outside he was playing video games.

He is survived by wife, Loretta Gibson; children, Lawrence (Yvonne Doyle) Gibson, Gary Gibson, Barry (Denise) Gibson and Cathy (Paul) Burr; grandchildren, Crystal Burr, April White, Nicole (Tom) Pierce, Kayla Gibson, Larry Gibson Jr., Corey Gibson, Kraig Gibson, Alysha Gibson, Destiney Gibson and Ariel Gibson; great-grandchildren, Drew Hahn, Mackenzie Step, Peyton White, and Daisie and June Pierce; sister, Fern (Harry) Taylor; and brothers, Bob (Barbara) Gibson and Larry Lokken.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don Gibson; and sister, Sammie Gibson.

Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the funeral home. The Rev. Tom Gruver of Thompson United Methodist Church will be officiating.

Final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
