Death of Dr. A. T. Miller.
Blood poison, which followed an operation for removal of a carbuncle from the neck of Dr. A. T. Miller of Shanesville, caused his death last Friday night at Colfax, Washington. Dr. Miller and wife, who is a sister of Mrs. John P. Thomas of this place, have been on a tour of the west for about a month. He has been a practicing physician for many years, being located at Shanesville. He was a member of Tuscarawas Lodge No. 59 F. & A. M., of Canal Dover, and a charter member of Shanesvllle Lodge No. 97, Knights Of Pythias. He was a prosperous physician and was well known in the eastern part of Holmes county. The carbuncle developed and caused Dr. Miller considerable trouble and it was following a second operation that the blood poison set in. Dr. Miller was married in Shanesvllle to Mary Shutt, who survives him, together with the following children: Erma, Carl and Galen. The body was brought to his own home in Shanesvllle for interment.
