ELLIOTT, V. Pearl (nee Shantz) Of Moorefield, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 1, 2013, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Stanley Elliott (2002) for 52 years. Loving mother of Ruth and Larry Kennedy of Kitchener; Doris and Garry Erb of Listowel; Shirley and Darrell Henderson of Maryhill; Steven and Donna Elliott of Moorefield; Rosemary and Tom Reed of Kitchener; and Stanley and Lynn Elliott of Moorefield. Grandmother of Richard Kennedy, Bradley Kennedy, Jessica Kennedy; Trent and Andrea Erb, Tisha and Tim Strickert, Charity Schedler, Rachel and Justin Labranche; Michelle and Brad Jones, Jason and Melissa Henderson, Scott Henderson and Julie Walsh; Cory and Sarah Elliott, Kelly Elliott; Veronica Reed; Louis Elliott and Jacob Elliott. Great-grandmother of Dorian; Benjamin, Jaret, Clarissa, Jansen, Brayden, Kodi and Zoey; Hailey, Nathan, Keegan and Preston. Fondly remembered by her sisters Grace Couture of Kitchener; Rhea and Sherwood Gossman of Kitchener; Norma and Lyle Phol of Arthur; sister-in-law of Kay Shantz of Conestoga; Marjorie Shantz of Palmerston; Bonnie Oxby of Rothsay; and Elaine Elliott of Alberta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arlie and Effie (Moyer) Shantz as well as her siblings Irene Lescom, Donald Shantz, Olive Blancher, Ivan Shantz, Elgin Shantz, Art Shantz, Howard Shantz, Walter Shantz, and Ruth Shantz. The family will receive friends and family at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rev. Rosemary Godin will conduct the Funeral Service in the Moorefield United Church on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment Bethesda Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Association, C.N.I.B. or the Moorefield United Church would be appreciated by the family.
