79, of Cynthiana, KY., died Friday, November 1, 2013, at Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. She was born in Bourbon County, KY., January 25, 1934, to the late John H. And Molie Stivers Florence. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the First United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Women. She was a retired bookeeper for Begley Drugs and Cynthiana Home Medical. Her husband, Lester Lawson, son, Chris K. Lawson and three sisters, Garnetta Florence, Janie Williams and Nellie Holland preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Barry (Lisse) Lawson, Lexington, KY. And one daughter, Cindy Lawson Traylor, Cynthiana, KY. Four grandchildren, Robert Lawson, Nathan (Hope) Lawson, Zachary Traylor and Shelby Traylor. Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by Reverend Donald Scilley and Reverend Mike Coppersmith, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Monday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
