Maggie was a farmer's wife, which entailed long hours from before dawn until after dusk, caring for her family and all of the chores that included everything from cooking and washing to cleaning, and caring for any stock that they had (i.e., milking the cow, churning butter, feeding chickens and gathering eggs, etc.). They owned a farm in the Corrytown area of Knox County, Tennessee. As the area grew in the passing years, their farm became known as being located on Gibbs Road, Corrytown, Knox Co., Tennessee.

Maggie preceded Albert in death, passing from this world on Christmas Eve, 1944.
