Son of William Davis and Rebecca (Morton).
Married Joann White, she was the daughter of Capt. Gideon White of Shelburne, N.S.

WILLIAM DAVIS, son of William and Rebecca (Morton) Davis, born in 1783, married in 1807
Joanna, dau. of Capt. Gideon White, of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, an officer in the English army,
and a direct descendant of William White of the "Mayflower," in 1620.
Mr. Davis was for a period associated in business with his father.
He died at the comparatively early age of forty-one years, March 22, 1824.
the children of William and Joanna (White) Davis were:
1) William Whitworth, born in 1808.
2) Rebecca, born in 1810, who marr. Ebenezer Grosvenor Parker and George S. Tolman.
3) Hannah White, born in 1812, who married Andrew L. Russell.
4) Sarah Bradford, born in 1814.
5) Charles Gideon, born in 1820.
6) William Thomas, born in 1822.
7) Sarah Elizabeth, born in 1824.
