Sioux City - Terry R. Welch, 54, of Sioux City died Friday, 11 Oct. 2013, at a local hospital after a long illness.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service.
Terry was born 16 Dec. 1958, in Sioux City, the son of William A. & Evelyn R. (Bell) Welch. He started his career at the Sioux City Stockyards & then went to work for Hienhold Commission Firm. Terry retired there due to health reasons.
Terry loved car racing. His car was No. 29. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Terry also loved spending time at the lake.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Marsh of Sioux City; 3 brothers, William & Jody Welch of Sioux City, Douglas & Patti Welch of McCook Lake, SD., & Rodney & Adam Welch of Elk Point, SD.; & nieces & nephews.
He was preceded I death by his father, William Welch; a sister, DeAnna Welch; a brother, Randy Welch; a nephew, Michael Welch; his stepfather, Forrest Marsh; & his grandparents.
Terry's family would like to give special thanks to Dave & Deb Mitchell, Jack & Jackie Eastman & Joanie Christiansen for all the kindness they showed Terry.
