Donald J. Boyce, 75, of Lincoln died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, in Lincoln.

He was born April 23, 1927, in Wayne, the son of Collier J. and Alice May (Martin) Boyce.

He worked as a regional sales representative for the Stetson Hat Company for 22 years; and worked in retail clothing from 1946-1966 in Wayne, Lincoln, Hastings and Smith Center, Kan.

He was a charter member of the St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, the Lincoln Liberty Masonic Lodge 300, Scottish Rite, Sesostris Temple of the Shrine, American Legion Post #3 in Lincoln, and the VFW Post 05296 in Wayne.

He is survived by his sons, Roger D. (Janet) Boyce of Cokato, Minn., and Ronald A. Boyce of Lincoln; his ex-wife and close friend, Luella M. Marra of Wayne; grandchildren, Christopher Alan, Alexander Irwin and Jennifer Mae Boyce of Cokato, Minn.; brothers, Richard (Marilyn) Boyce of Athens, Ill., Larry (Rita) Boyce of Tulsa, Okla., and Robert (Perri Ann) Boyce of Sioux City, Iowa; sisters, Linda Kay (James Martindale of York and Lois (Vernon) Mello of Hoskins; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mylet; and two brothers, Kenneth and Terry Lee.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dan Cosson officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Pallbearers were Christopher and Alexander Boyce, Brent and LaVerle Miller and Matthew and Ryan Martindale.

Memorials may be made to the Sesostris Shrine Children's Patient Transportation Fund at 1700 Yolande Ave., Lincoln. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected].
