Nicholas Nick Chromiak, 79, of 342 W. White Street, Summit Hill, died Sept. 22, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Irene (Danko) Chromiak. They were married 57 years in June.

Born in Summit Hill, he was a son of the late Daniel and Anna (Masnik) Chromiak.

He worked for the former Bundy Tubing Co., Hometown, for 35 years retiring in 1979.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford, and a member of its Rosary Society.

He was a member of the Summit Hill American Legion, where he was past commander and chaplain.

He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors: Surviving along with his wife are sons, Daniel and his wife, Gloria, of Beaverton, Oregon and Michael and his wife, Sharon, of Hometown; daughter, Adrienne and her husband, Karl Schaeffer, of Lehighton; brother, Daniel of Nesquehoning; sister, Catherine Bonner in Delaware; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Geraldine Scrivner and Ann Cardone, and a brother, Stephen Chromiak.

Services: Panachida services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell Street, Summit Hill. Office of Christian

Burial with Divine Liturgy, 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford. Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. today and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
