Katherine was the Daughter of Phillip Coonts and Maria Cherry, although Maria's maiden name is disputable, at this point, since it could ONLY be found on Katherine's Death Certificate and not in any other place as of October 31, 2013.
It needs to be noted that Phillip Coonts is NOT the Father of any of Katherine's siblings that were born prior to November 16, 1850, the date that Phillip Coonts and Maria Cherry applied for a marriage license in Washington County, Ohio. Henry Coonts, more than likely a brother or at least a VERY close relative of Philip Coonts, was the Father of those children.
