Peggy Lea (Fritz) Clausen, 63 of Colo died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Burial of Peggy's cremains will be held in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Oakland next to her grandparents, Fred Fritz and Edna Fritz.

Peggy was born on April 19, 1950 in Oakland to Wayne C. Fritz and Ferne M. (Peterson) Fritz. She graduated from Oakland High School and received an Associate Degree in Nursing and Medical Technology. Peggy also received an advanced nursing degree from Grandview College in Des Moines. She was employed as a nurse at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames for over 25 years. Peggy enjoyed being a member of the church and bell choir. She was passionate about her family, music, quilting, traveling, and volunteering.

Peggy is survived by three sons Pete (Tanya) Clausen, Jeff (Autumn) Clausen, all of Ames and Troy (Sara) Clausen of Nevada; four and a half grandchildren; two brothers, John (Sandy) Fritz of Colo and Fred (Sharon) Fritz of Council Bluffs; a sister Mary (Jeff) Howe of Carter Lake; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father on June 7, 2013 and her mother in 1975.
