Mr. Knarr was born at Harrison, IN, February 25, 1869. He came to Mansfield from Newport KY.
For many years he was associated with the North American Watch Case Co. Later he was connected with the Mansfield Public School system and his last employment was with the Mansfield Public Library. He retired in 1933. Mrs. Knarr, the former Mary Anna Stauder, died in 1946.
Survivors are three sons, Raymond B., with whom he lived; Clifford G., former Mansfield city councilman; Stuart Knarr of Valparaiso, IN; one brother, Oliver Knarr of Mansfield; one sister, Mrs. William Erb of Newport, KY; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Another son, Edwin L. Knarr, died about five years ago.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Memorial in charge of Rev. Harold L. Konz, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
