Mrs. Carrie Schomaker, 83, widow of Herman Schomaker, died this morning at People's Hospital following a long illness.

Born August 23, 1866 in Ripley county, IN, Mrs. Schomaker came to Mansfield 50 years ago.

Surviving are a son, H. O. Schomaker of Mansfield; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Burgener and Mrs. Ray Kennedy of Mansfield, Mrs. H. E. Valentine of Harlingen, TX, and Mrs. W. M. Marr of Akron; three brothers, Jacob and Oliver Knarr of Mansfield and George Knarr of Newport, KY; a sister, Mrs. William Erb of Newport, KY; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Wappner Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
