MARSHALL – Flossie Wallin Flynn, 90, of Flynn Branch Road, Marshall, NC, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 at Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Flynn was born August 4, 1923, in the Walnut Creek Community of Marshall. Flossie was the daughter of Dolson and Cora Mace Wallin. In addition to her parents, Flossie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Daniel "Pete" Flynn; sisters, Ola Wallin Barnes and Annie Wallin Hunter; brothers, Maco, Frank, Hiram and Charles Wallin. She was the oldest living member of Enon Baptist Church of Marshall. Flossie loved her church and the church family. She was faithful to them as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are her children, John Flynn (Grace), Danny Flynn (Joan) and Louise Flynn Robinson (Weldon); grandchildren, John Michael and Mona Flynn, Joey and Deana Flynn, Dusty and Steve Buery, Alicia and Dan Henry, Chris and Kristy Robinson and Caroline and Chad Renew; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Adele Wallin Meyers; sister-in-law, Edith Wilde Flynn.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at Enon Baptist Church with the Reverend Kevin Boone and Pastor Drew Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery.
