Michael L. "Mike" Conn, 65, of Lafayette, passed away in his home at 7:54 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013. Born October 18, 1948 in Princeton, IN, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Helen Jane (Hyneman) Conn. Mike was a 1966 graduate of Princeton High School. He honorably served in the Army in Viet Nam.
Mike married Sharon A. Whittington on July 3, 1969 in Gibson County, and she survives. He was a foreman for Miller Pipeline before retiring. His hobbies included tinkering in his garage, his 1967 El Camino, reading about World War II, and watching westerns.
Surviving with his wife are his two daughters, Susan M. Conaway (husband, James) of Jamestown, PA and Tricia L. Baker (husband, Bryan) of Lafayette; his son, Steven Michael Conn of Lafayette; a sister, Jane Ann Ridgely of St. Anthony, IN; and three brothers, Brad Ridgely (wife, Debbie), Jeff Ridgely, and Tim Ridgely all of Princeton, IN. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Anthony Venezia and Brandon Howard. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Bobbie Ridgely and step-mother, Mary Conn.
