Arlene was born on Apr. 12th 1914 in Northwood Iowa to Henry and Selma (Mandt) Christiansen. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines IA and worked at Charles Hewitt & Sons as a factory worker. She was married Feb. 17th 1934 to Harold Berry and they made their home in Des Moines. She was widowed in 1963 and remarried Donald E Walker in 1965.Arlene will be missed by her daughter Marilyn (Ted) Hanna, her step-son Darrel Walker, her 5 grand-children, her 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Walker, parents, one brother, two sisters, her daughter Linda K. Berry, and step daughter-in-law Karen Walker.Arlene will be remembered for her love of creating ceramic decorations for her family. She enjoyed music, sewing, decorating her home, shopping with her friends, and fishing in Canada.
