Martha Phillips Mounts Dunfee, 89, of Washington, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Humbert Lane Wealth Care Center, Washington.

She was born April 27, 1920, in West Finley Township, a daughter of Lawrence and
Annie Inghram Phillips. .

Miss Dunfee attended Living Waters Church of God, Washington.

She was employed for over 20 years by Washington Hospital, first in the dietary department and later in the nursing department as an aide.

Miss Dunfee enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and shopping.

Surviving are two daughters, Dora Plants of Washington and Penny (John) Manning of Canonsburg a brother, Frank (Dorma) Phillips of Claysville; a sister, Pat (Russell) King of Washington seven grandchildren, Terry Plants, Martha Fonner, Brenda Plants, Frances Knestrick, Kathy Leasure and Caitlin and Lauren Manning eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a son, Charles Don Mounts; two brothers,
Harry and Lawrence Phillips and four sisters, Mary Wright, Frances E.Villers, Shirley Gray and Helen Mounts (note: Helen Mounts is Ronald Dean Mounts wife~Wendy Szallay).

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, 219 Main Street, Claysville, where services will be held at 11 am. Tuesday, July 28, with Pastor George Plants officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery, West Finley.
