Mr. Washburne died in a local clinic following a brief illness.
He was a prominent businessman and property owner in northeast Louisiana for the past 24 years. Prior to that time he was affiliated with the Welori Lumber Company in Webster Parish.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Donaldson Washburne; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Harper of Bossier City, Mrs. Jan Vineyard of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Betty Jane French of Monroe, Mrs. Marianne Graham of Forest, Miss.; and 12 grandchildren.
