DELHI — Funeral services for Mrs. W. H. Washburne, 79, of 1010 Glenmar, Monroe, formerly of Delhi, were to be at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church chapel here with the Rev. Lewis Clarke officiating.

Burial will be in Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

Mrs. Washburne died Tuesday night in Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe after a short illness.

Mrs. Washburne was a resident of 1010 Glenmar St. in Monroe for the past two years. She had been a resident of Delhi for 35 years previously.

She was a native of Jackson parish and a member of the First Baptist Church of Delhi. She and her husband were dry goods merchants in Delhi for several years.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Janet Vineyard, Mrs. Dorothy Harper and Mrs. Betty French, all of Monroe, and Mrs. Marianne Graham of Forest, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Gaar of Natchitoches, Mrs. Ann Brown of Jonesboro and Mrs. Edrice King of Robbstown, Tex.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
