Gastonia ~ Corene Morris Petty, 88, was a daughter of the late George S. and Catherine Reese Morris. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, John L. Petty of Petty's Landscaping; four sisters; Attis Ansley, Ellene NeeSmith, Nellie Wilkes, Mary Jane Dyches; two brothers; Leon and Fred Morris.
Mrs. Petty was retired from Firestone Mills where she started work during World War II and where she met her husband. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church for over 50 years where she was very active until failing health prevented her from attending.
Interment in Hollywood Cemetery with the Releasing of the Doves.
