HOLMES, BOBBIE JEAN, age 74, member of Grace Full Gospel Baptist church, went home to be with the Lord April 17, 2010.

Preceded in death by husband of 60 years, James H. Holmes; mother and father, Sam and Carrie Parks; brother, Samuel Parks; grandson, Aaron Holmes; and special cousin, "like a sister", Wanda Webber.

Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Vickie Holmes; and daughters and son-in-laws, Gail and Mike Shelby and Debbie and Ron Buckner; brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Vemetti Holmes; grandmother to 11 grandchildren and spouses; and 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins, Betty France, Mary Hicks, and Carrie Tarwater; special friends, Jackie and Louise Oaks, and Grace Full Gospel Baptist Church family.

Special thanks to grand-daughter, Missy Campbell, for all the care given to mom and dad.

Services to be held at Cookes Mortuary. Receiving of friends and family will be Monday from 6 - 8 pm and funeral services to follow. Graveside service will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery at 11 am. Reverend Chris Daugherty officiating. www.cookemortuary.com
