WATERVILLE - Evelyn Lillian Clement went to be with the Lord on Dec. 8, 2006, with her children by her side at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. She was born in Waterville on Aug. 23, 1926, the daughter of Obie and Minnie (Sheffer) Robar.

She went to school in Waterville and had several different jobs, but her favorite was being a mother to her beloved children.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Ida Tibbetts and husband, Vance, of Norridgewock, and Pat Clement of Fairfield; her sons, Robert and wife, Marsha, of East Haven, Conn., and Jon of Smithfield. She had 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who were her most precious gifts.

She was predeceased by her brother, Wallace.

She leaves her best friend, her sister, Mary Gretchell of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and two very special friends in mom's life, Jean Daily and Audrey Thibodeau. (Morning Sentinel 12/15/2006)
