Virginia Cannoy Moss, 84, of 105 Corse Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at Stanleytown Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Greyson County to Stephen Foster and Mary Elizabeth Hall Cannoy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Moss, and four brothers, Meek, Robert, Boyd and Claude Cannoy.
She retired from DuPont with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Villa Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, John H. Moss Jr. of Franklin County and James Forster Moss Sr. of Martinsville; four daughters, Betty A. Moss of Collinsville, Bonnie M. Wells of Ridgeway, Kathy Parker of Martinsville and Ginger Moore of Axton; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday at Villa Heights Baptist Church. Pastor Sydney Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
