Succumbs At 65
George McLeland, 65, a Royal
Center farmer, died at his home
at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, He had
been ill one week.
The deceased was born August
12, 1892, the son of Charles and
Melzitia (Galbreth) McLeland in
White county. His first marriage
was to Theresa McVay who died
in 1938.
He was married again on April
1940 to Beulah Willfong who
survives him.
Also surviving are: one step
daughter, Mrs. William Kauffman;
two sisters, Mrs. Russell Million
and Mrs. Ted Gorman both of
Burnettsville; and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Monday at the Burnettsville
Baptist church with the Rev.
Clark officiating. The body will lie
state for one hour preceding
services. Burial will be in the
Davis cemetery.
