Navaree Evelyn Fowler, 78, of Sumiton, passed away at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home with burial in McCormack Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Tate will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Fowler was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sumiton.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Gary Fowler and Larry Fowler; and daughter, Connie Fowler Barnett.
She is survived by her husband, John L. "Gobie" Fowler of Sumiton; son, Wayne Fowler, and his wife, Gayla, of Sumiton; daughter-in-law, Janice Fowler of Sumiton; grandchildren, Jason Fowler, Craig Fowler, and his wife, Starla, Brent Fowler, Rodney Barnett, Chris Barnett, Lindsey Burge,r and her husband, Alex, and Ryan Fowler; and eight great-grandchildren.
