DOROTHY LUCILLE O'DELL was the daughter of Mark Albert Lowry and Mary Erma Murrell. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1945 and attended Duncan Business College. She and Raymond Dean O'Dell were married on November 1, 1952 in Duncan. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2005.
She was a charter member, in 1949, of Eastside Church of Christ, Duncan. She served as a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and enjoyed many church activities. She also enjoyed tole painting, sewing and arranging flowers.
Survivors include two sons: Rodney O'Dell and wife Diane of Portland, Oregon, and Mark O'Dell and wife Brenda of Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughter Lauren and grandson Ryan O'Dell, both of Edmond; a sister, Louise King of Duncan; two brothers: Hugh Lowry of Newalla, Oklahoma and Bill Lowry of Edmond, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
Nephews served as bearers. The funeral, on October 8, was under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home, Duncan. Ron Stough, minister at Eastside Church of Christ, Duncan, officiated.
