ANNA LEE ALLRED, 84, of Duncan, passed away Sunday, 12 July 1998, in Duncan Regional Hospital.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the Eastside Church of Christ, with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan.
Mrs. Allred was born 2 April 1914 to Mark Albert and Mary Erma (Murrel) Lowry. On 14 Nov 1960 she married Henry F. Allred in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mrs. Allred was a lifelong resident of Stephens County, attending Central High School, Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, and graduating from Cameron University in 1938.
She was a secretary for Rock Island Refinery and was in the real estate and insurance business until she retired in 1961.
She was a charter member of the Eastside Church of Christ and taught fifth and sixth grade girls Sunday school class before becoming a charter member of the Northside congregation.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two step-daughters and a step-son-in-law, Norma Wood of Duncan and Melba and Gene Geyer of Conroe, Texas; three brothers, Hugh A. Lowry of Choctaw, A.G. Lowry of Broken Arrow and Bill Lowry of Enid; three sisters, Flora Shipley of Norman, Louise King and Lucille O'Dell, both of Duncan; two step-grandsons, Roy Wood of Norman and Lyndal Wood of Oklahoma City; a step-granddaughter, Gena Sylvester of Houston, Texas; 7 step-great-grandchildren and a step-great-great-grandchild.
Bearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
