JOHN CHRISTIAN BANGERTER, JR.
BOUNTIFUL--John C. (Jack) Bangerter, age 96, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 1994 in Bountiful, Utah.
He was born May 9, 1898 to John Christian Bangerter, Sr. and Katherina Schaaf Bangerter in Bountiful where he lived his entire life.
Married Grace Lucile Monson, July 6, 1921 in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away June 21, 1986.
He was a Bountiful City Councilman and was instrumental in founding of the Bountiful City Power Co. He was always active in civic affairs, was a boy scout leader, a member of the Lions Club and an active member of the LDS church and held many responsible church positions.
Survivors include his children: Kathryn B. (Robert) Goodfellow; Jack M. (Connie); J. Frank (Lela); Douglas D. (Shirley), all of Bountiful; and Jerald C. (Sandra), Hawaii; 26 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine (Millard) Jones, Sandy, Utah. Preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful 5th Ward, 990 North 100 West. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday at the church from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery.
