1939 - Ill for the past month, Mrs. Helen May, nee DeLong, Farber, 607 N. Quebec St., Allentown, died early yesterday in the Allentown hospital where she had been admitted on April 3 and had undergone a thyroid operation on Good Friday. She was 46 years of age. Mrs. Farber was the daughter of the late Elias and Catherine, nee Knerr, DeLong, and was born at Alburtis on June 13, 1892. She was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, city, and of the Sunday school of that congregation. Surviving are her husband, Willard F. Farber, and one son, Richard, at home, and five brothers: Walter G., Curtis I. and William E., of Allentown; Edgar G., Alburtis; and Charles H., Egg Harbor, N.J. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mrs. Howard Breisch. Funeral services will be held at the Oliver S. Burkholder funeral home, 1717 Hanover Ave., Friday at 1:30 p.m., with interment following in Greenwood cemetery. Dr. Simon Stipple will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
