Denise Johnson Gwin, age 55 of Nesbit, MS. Denise went home to be with God on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Chris Gwin. She left behind a son, Josh Gary of Abbeville, SC; daughter, Danielle Johnson of Abbeville, SC; father-in-law, Bob Gwin his wife Ruth of Cornersville, TN; mother-in-law, Alice Light and her husband Jim of Camden, TN; sisters, Dianne Tribble, of Hoschton, GA; Charlotte Weaver and husband Jeff of Auburn, GA; Delores Jones and her husband Harry of Gaffney, SC; sister-in-law, Judy Johnson of Hoschton, GA; nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Lillian Johnson; brothers, Donald Johnson, Carroll Johnson and her brother-in-law, Donald Tribble.
The light of her life where her grandchildren, Isaiah Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Gracie Gary. Denise was born in Duluth, GA on March 6, 1958. She attended North Gwinnett High School and Gwinnett Tech. Denise was last employed as a manager at Kohl's in Southhaven, MS.
A funeral service Honoring the life of Denise Johnson Gwin will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church, in Lawrenceville, GA with the Rev. Gerald Hudlow officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages, Lawrenceville Chapel.
