Born Jan. 15, 1964, in Cleveland, Mrs. Kunkel passed away Oct. 16, 2013, at her home in Aurora.
Survivors are her husband, Lawrence; son, Alexander William; parents, William and Elizabeth Meditz; brothers, Ken (Michelle) and Rob; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Kunkel; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Meditz, Julie (Carl) Gorecki and Victoria (Dan Maslowski) Kunkel; brothers-in-law, Louis (Barb), Leo (Pam) and Chris (Tamara) Karel; nieces, Robin (Doug) Webb, Maggie (John) Catoe, Laura Meditz, Erica (William) Barba, Gwen Meditz, Jesse (Evan) Byrum and Ava Maslowski; and nephews, Mike Meditz, David Meditz, Danny Meditz, Cory and Brandon Kunkel, Trevor and Jarrett Gorecki, Luke Maslowski, and Colby and Isacc Karel.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron; sister-in-law, Linda Meditz; and father-in-law, Paul Kunkel.
Lisa and Lawrence were married Aug. 7, 1987, at St. Francis of Assisi in Gates Mills. She graduated from Ursuline College with a bachelor of science in nursing and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Lisa worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a registered nurse in the orthopedic unit. She was employed with the Aurora City Schools as a health assistant and nurse for the past 10 years, where she was an advocate and caregiver for children with diabetes.
A loving daughter, mother and wife, Lisa enjoyed reading, listening to music, walking her dog Roscoe, enjoying coffee on the patio with Larry and cooking, but mostly being with her family.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the DiCicco And Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Road (at Lander Road), Mayfield Heights.
