Diocese records indicate this married woman was buried 23 Apr 1878. Additional notes: (Galesville, was buried here)

This memorial is for one of the thirteen recorded Catholic burials in the St. Bartholomew parish that occured between 22 Mar 1874 and 7 Sep 1878, well before the Old Catholic Cemetery was consecrated for Catholic burial. It is not known at this time where exactly their remains were buried.

The Old Catholic Cemetery is occassionaly referred to as St. Bartholomew cemetery. This burial ground was donated and deeded to the Bishop of the La Crosse Diocese on 17 Apr 1880 by Patrick Lowery. The grounds were part of his farm.

There is a gap of just over five years before the next St. Bartholomew parish burial is recorded which occurred on 27 Sep 1883. This 1883 burial and subsequent burials can reasonably be presumed to have been buried in the Old Catholic Cemetery.
