Ella B. Coleman, 111, of Rice Lake died Sept. 13 at Dallas Health Care Center in Dallas. Memorial services were Friday afternoon at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice lake, with the Rev. Thomas Coleman officiating and interment at Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.

Mrs. Coleman was born Dec. 12, 1893 in Town of Oak Grove to Herbert and Ida (St. Clair) Coleman. The family lived and farmed in the Brill area, and Mrs. Coleman attended school there through the eighth grade. She lived in rural Brill until her marriage to Wesley Coleman in 1910. The couple then lived in the Town of Oak Grove until moving to Rice Lake, where Mrs. Coleman worked as a seamstress, barber and laundress and did housecleaning.

She is survived by eight grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Coleman’s husband, Wesley, and her three children preceded her in death. Four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also preceded her in death.
