A native of Kearny, Nebraska, Jane moved to West Sacramento in 1967.
She began a career in real estate in 1971 as the first female agent in the office. She later secured her broker's license and started Koerwitz Realty in 1977 with her husband, Jim, joining her in the family business in 1979.
In 1987, Century 21 became part of their success story and the business is today known as Century 21 Koerwitz Realty.
Although Jane's career and business were very important to her, the close and loving relationship she had with her family was what she valued most in her life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge & loved spending time at the ocean in Mendocino.
Jane was a founding member of the Little Skipper's Auxiliary of Home Society, of which she devoted many years of service.
Visitation hours will be Wednesday, October 5, 2005 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the River Cities Funeral Chapel. Friends are invited to attend a Christian Mass on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 911 Park Blvd., West Sacramento.
