Mrs. Eleanor A. Guelig, 82, of 1047 Seventh St., Kiel, died at her home this morning after an apparent heart attack.
The former Eleanor Steffen, she was born Nov. 24, 1902 at St. Joe, Fond du Lac County, the daughter of Christ and Mary Wehner Steffen. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School. She was married to John Guelig on Aug. 24, 1930 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe. After marriage the couple operated the homestead farm at St. Joe until 1968 when they moved to Kiel. Mr. Guelig died in 1975. Mrs. Guelig was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Mary Ann) Tonn of St. Peter and Mrs. Leo (Elaine) Anhalt of Kiel; two sons, Edward of Plymouth and James of Elreno, Okla; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Appie Mueller of Mount Calvary. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.
A funeral Mass will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Leannah, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
