Funeral services for Sarah Estelle Parks, 71, of Winnsboro, were held Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in the chapel of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Thomas Peoples and Bro. Ernie Reeves officiating. Interment followed in Oakley Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.

Mrs. Parks a homemaker, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Opal Franks; her husband, Jessie "Shorty" Parks; brother T.F. Franks; and Mary Parks.

She is survived by her two daughters: Julie Dalgo and her husband Ronald Evergreen; Jamie Brouillette of Hesser; one son, Ralph Roland and his wife Beryl of Plaucheville; and a very special niece Glenda Daniels of Winnsboro; one brother Charlie O. Franks of Monroe; sisters: Nora Ogden of Columbia, Irene Daniels of Winnsboro, and Ruby Franks of Ruston; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
