Jack "Foozy" Graf, 65, of 904 Sixth Street, Kiel, died Monday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where he had been a patient for three days.
He was born March 2, 1921, in Kiel, a son of the late Oscar and Katie Graf. He attended Kiel schools, graduating from Kiel High School in 1939. Mr. Graf served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. On June 19, 1946 he married Jeanette B. Wendling at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, Kiel. He was employed at A.A. Laun Co., Kiel, for 33 years, and was custodian at Kiel High School for 13 years, retiring in 1983. Mr. Graf was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, and was a charter member of the Kiel VFW post.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Jacklyn) Schoenborn of Kiel, and Charlene Heimerl of rural New Holstein; two grandchildren; a brother, Donald Graf and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Hanemann, both of Sheboygan.
A funeral Mass will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Leannah, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
