EVELYN C. GOEBEL

Evelyn C. Goebel, 86, of Kiel, found peace with the Lord on April 10, 2003 at Willowdale Nursing and Rebab Center where she had been a resident for the past four years.

She is the former Evelyn Konz, born Nov. 25, 1916 in the Town of New Holstein to the late Louis and Lena Kleinhans Konz. On Sept. 14, 1940 she married Jerome Goebel. He passed into eternal Life on Feb. 20, 1966. The couple resided in Kiel and were members of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Evelyn spent her life at the important task of being a homemaker, Mother, "Grammy" and Great Grammy. She enjoyed gardening, quilt making, sheapshead, walking and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Marcia (DuWayne) Ninmer of Kiel. She was Grammy to three grandchildren; and great grammy to six great grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Lester (Veronica) Konz of Kiel; two sisters, Elinor Bunge of Keil and Doris Schepherling of Milwaukee; sisters and brother-in-law, Jane Konz of Kiel, Marilyn Bennett of Plymouth, Dorothy Jaschob of Kiel, Vera Goebel of St. Cloud, and Norbert (Edith) Goebel of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic church with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
