John Lappier, 93, retired Winona area farmer, dies
Lewiston –John Lappier, 93, a retired Winona Country farmer, died this morning at Sauer Memorial Home in Winona, where he had resided for the past year.
He was born May 16, 1892 in Fremont Township, Winona County. He married Ellen Sadie Burns and she preceded him in death in 1947.
Mr. Lappier farmed in Fremont Township until entering the Lewiston Nursing Home in 1980. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with the Rev. John Daly officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Hoff Funeral Home in Lewiston where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
