He married the former Gusta Tachick on March 26, 1919 at Menominee, MI.
The couple operated a farm in the Town of Brazeau until retirement in 1964. Mr. Kovnesky had served as a board member for the Town of Brazeau and as a Constable. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pound, WI.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons: the Rev. Harry Kovnesky of Pound, WI and Virgil Kovnesky of Negaunee, MI;
two daughters Angeline Wellskop of Milwaukee, WI and Mrs. Irene (Charles) Borkowski of Crivitz, WI.
Also four brothers Gottlieb of Coleman, WI; Eddie and Emil of Milwaukee, WI; Albert of Lake Mills;
three sisters: Alice Bedora, Emmie Watson and Mrs. August Borkowski, all of Pound, WI;
11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
