COOPER--Avon Janes Bailey, 85, of Cooper died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Tatum officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Surviving are a son, Charles J. and wife Jo Bailey of Houston; a daughter, Nancy Hankins of Brownsville; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Louise Janes of Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Bailey.
