Ray Hankins Wilkerson finished a courageous fight with brain cancer in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at First Baptist Church under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Ray was born in Lubbock on Aug. 8, 1964. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1982. He graduated from Baylor University in 1986 and was named the Outstanding Student in Real Estate in the Hankamer School of Business. Ray married Tina Nichole Mann on Nov. 14, 2009.
Ray was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where he enjoyed singing as a member of the choir. He was a board member for CASA of the South Plains, where he served as President in 2005. He also served as a board member for Paisano Baptist Encampment.
Ray was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Cleo Wilkerson, and maternal grandparents, Ray and Ruth Collins.
