CURWENSVILLE- Ashley Maynard Bloom, 72, of 712 State street, Curwensville, died at his home this morning at 1:45 o'clock.
He was a retired division manager for the North American Refractories Co. plant at Curwensville.
He was employed by NARCO for 35 years serving as division, manager for the last 25 until his retirement in 1953.
Born July 16, 1884, in Clearfield, he was a son of J. Roll and Vada (Long) Bloom. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Ruth Williams, Bronxville, N. Y.; Mrs. Elizabeth Steel, Curwensville; Maynard, Dayton, Ohio; and Mrs. Sara Hudson, Alexandria, Va.
Also surviving an eight grandchildren and a brother L. Harold of Geneva, N. Y. Mr. Bloom was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jean M, Harris, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
He was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge and the I. 0. 0. F.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, May 2, at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church. Rev. A. C. Clever officiating. Burial will be made in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lininger Funeral Home tomorrow from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 10 p.m. and until noon Thursday at which time the body will be taken to the church for services. There will be no viewing at the church.

CURWENSVILLE—Funeral services for Ashley M. Bloom of Curwensville will be held from the Presbyterian Church tomorrow, May 2, at 4 p. m. instead of 2 p.m. as announced yesterday.
Mr. Bloom died at his home at 712 State St. yesterday at 1:45 a. m. Friends are being received at the Lininger Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m., and until noon tomorrow when the body will be taken to the church.
