Oliene Blanchette entered into new life with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 8, 2014.

She was born September 24, 1920 in Manteno to Noel and Anna Maria Richard Giroux.

She married Robert (Tubby) Blanchette on November 29, 1941 in Manteno. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2006.

Mrs. Blanchette was a house wife and helped her husband on the family farm in St. George. She was a member of the St. George Catholic Church and enjoyed dancing, playing cards and gardening.

Surviving are one daughter, Bobbie and Tom Leone of St. Peters, MO; one son Larry and Betty Blanchette of Bourbonnais; five grandchildren, Tammy (Dave) Eckle, Heather (Scot) Delude, Bonnie Blanchette, Brian (Carolyn) Blanchette, Bernie (Amy) Blanchette; eight great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Rhea Surprenant of Manteno.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson Jason Lindhorst, one great grandson Austin Blanchette, three brothers Orvile, Leon and Bud Giroux, and three sisters Ethel Honors, Blanch Fortin, and Bea Berns.

Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery.
